If I’d known what a rollercoaster ride 4inabed was going to be, would I still have done it?

Definitely! It was a chance of a lifetime and an experience of a lifetime too.

It’s pretty obvious I jumped in at the deep end, isn’t it? I mean, I’d only started the B&B game a few weeks before I went on the programme. Completely mad, especially considering I was up against people who’d been doing it for over 30 years! And yes, there were minor disasters. The breakfast meltdown, to name just one. Talk about losing the plot!

And all on camera for the world to see...Jeezy Weezy! (did I really say that? and quite as often as I did!).

I’m still cringing. But you know what? I really learned from it, cringes and all. And one of the biggest lessons I learned was when I was visiting the B&Bs of my competitors.

Yes they were lovely places and their breakfasts were better than mine. But it was so good to realise than even as a total beginner, I had already got some big things right.

For example, I put all my effort into creating warm, welcoming rooms and spaces for my guests. Since I didn’t have any experience, I trusted my instincts and discovered ToniStyle - my own unique way of doing things.

Of course, Woodleys is in the most gorgeous corner of the countryside, so I had that going for me too. And that’s exactly what the other contestants noticed and appreciated. They loved the decor, the welcoming atmosphere the design and the secluded country setting.

So not a complete cringe! An unforgettable experience, so much to learn and meeting some really amazing people along the way.

Me and Woodleys will never be the same!
